I see that the new forms now are no longer in iFrames, and that the console log warnings have been removed discouraging folks from using the selectors for applying custom CSS.
Can we assume that it is now safe (relatively) to do this now?
I’d also like to know if the legacy editor is going to be EOL’d at some point.
In my most humble opinion, I’m not touching new forms with a ten-foot pole until there’s a EOL date for legacy ones.

Yes, the key here is “relatively” - there is now an option to get the embed in “Developer code” and it provides a warning that using custom CSS and JS may cause the form to break. So as long as the edits are within reason, sounds like it should be fine.
I haven’t seen any information about sunsetting the legacy editor and would be very surprised if that was anytime soon due to some functionality not yet present in the new forms editor (such as collecting payments).
