NetSuite/HubSpot Integration

We are looking to sync the two systems in order to track marketing activity but I am seeing some limitations.

My company uses “NetSuite Leads” to track information and convert to customers. HubSpot only allows for “NetSuite Contacts” to integrate with HubSpot Contacts. With this, any new lead added to HubSpot will create a NetSuite Contact, but then sales will still need to manually create a NetSuite lead when they begin to prospect and create opportunities.

I see that you can connect “NetSuite Individuals” to HubSpot contacts. I believe that is a field in NetSuite that signifies if a lead is an individual or company. I do not see that custom mapping field for NetSuite.

Has anyone found solutions to integrating the two systems, where adding a contact into HubSpot will create a lead in NetSuite?

Checking in hoping someone can offer assistance! @DianaGomez

Hi ,

You can use custom scripting and create custom columns in NetSuite for mapping it with Hubspot contact.

Also, have you tried using any third-party integration platflorm for creating custom mapping in NetSuite and completing your integration.

You can try eZintegrations, this platform offers integration services between various systems including NetSuite and Hubspot.

They even provide a pre-defined API Catalog along with the custom scripts (if required) for smoother integration services.

The native HubSpot-NetSuite connector is pretty limited when it comes to syncing leads vs. contacts. For custom field mapping or automating NetSuite leads creation from HubSpot contacts you could try third-party tools like Skyvia. They have more flexibility for this kind of integration and are on Hubspot Marketplace.

You’re right @MDiaz705 , the native HubSpot–NetSuite connector doesn’t cover the “lead” object in NetSuite.

Out of the box it only maps Contacts <> Contacts, so when a new contact is created in HubSpot it goes straight in as a NetSuite Contact, skipping the NetSuite Lead stage.

That’s why your sales team still needs to create leads manually. HubSpot’s own docs confirm this limitation Connect HubSpot and NetSuite
And also note that only certain standard fields are available for mapping (https://knowledge.hubspot.com/properties/create-sync-properties)

The usual workarounds are either SuiteScript customization on the NetSuite side (to auto-convert contacts into leads when certain criteria are met) or using an iPaaS / middleware that lets you translate a HubSpot contact creation event into a NetSuite Lead record.

Some teams also use the “Individual” field in NetSuite, but as you noticed, it doesn’t replace the lead entity and won’t give you the sales flow you’re looking for.

Does this line up with what you were hoping to achieve?

If it clears things up, marking it as the solution will help others who run into the same limitation.

Wishing you good luck with the setup, and hope this makes things smoother.
