Need api for fetching user seats

Hi Team,

when I tried this following api for getting users, I could only get roles and personal info.

Is there any api support for tagging their respective seats assigned to users.

If not can we expect any support for it

settings/v3/users

Thanks
Kartheek

Hey @kgurram,

Welcome to the community!

Based on what I could find, the Users API does not currently expose seat assignments as a retrievable field. However, while we wait for some peer input, this community thread may be of help in the meantime!

Tagging in some folks from the community to see if they have any experience with this!

Hey @SteveHTM, @GRajput, @Anton – do you have any suggestions for @kgurram on this?

Thank you!

Hi @kgurram and @stassey,

I second that. As far as I can tell, the current public APIs do not expose a user’s assigned HubSpot seat.

settings/v3/users returns user details, roles, teams, and permissions, while the CRM Users API exposes properties such as job title, timezone, availability, and working hours. Neither includes seat assignment.

If you need to determine which paid seat is assigned to each user, there isn’t a documented API for that today. This would be a valuable addition to the platform, especially for license auditing and administration.

Can we expect the support for this in the future, or any other way for licensing

Hey @kgurram,

Thanks for following up here! I’ve double checked this internally and could confirm there isn’t currently an API for viewing or managing seats today. However, it appears our team is aware of this feedback and is prioritizing it. There isn’t a public facing timeline just yet, but hopefully we’ll see this soon. I encourage you to consider creating a post on our Ideas Forum here.

Ideas posted in this forum are seen and reviewed directly by our product team regularly, and this is the best way to raise feature requests and increase the chance it will become a feature in the future.

I appreciate your patience on this and hope this helps clarify!
