Hi Community,
using the MultiSelect Component from the UI extension. Selected component Displaying in the UI is fine, but when all the options display, it is a mess. As you can see i have options, which i will be using it for filtering purpose. is there any workaround Hubspot suggest ?
I don’t want the options to display as labels in UI. need a cleaner way. i used dropdown with dynamic options it hurts UX and it will close the when use selects on options.
Displaying multi-select options more clearly would definitely improve usability. A cleaner layout makes it easier for users to review and manage multiple selections without confusion.
Hey @ramkumar1021,
Thanks for sharing this!! Looking further into the behavior I’ve found a few similar community threads that touch on this as well. I’ve also found a similar feature request posted in our Ideas Forum. To help document demand, I’d suggest commenting and upvoting there!
Here are a few similar threads that might help you in the meantime:
Hey @EugeneAtKiwi, @Liana_Preston, @CarolinaDeMares – do you have any additional suggestions for @ramkumar1021 on this?
Thanks!

God, its been 6 year since that post. i don’t what to say about it @stassey .
Wherever i look into hubspot for a developer friendly solution, it mostly ends with disappointment.
I have another question, do you know a way to share a record (from a app object) to all the user. it will work, creating teams and sharing there. my concern was when new user is invited then how can we share it. possible using workflow automation(possible defining it in the projects) ?
Hey @ramkumar1021,
I hear you, and fair point on the age of that original post.. On your new question: for app objects, access is generally controlled through the app’s permissions.
If you want all relevant users to access those records, the supported path is to design around app permissions and the object’s permissioning model. If you want new users to inherit access automatically, that usually depends on how their user permissions or team membership are set up in the portal.
What I could not verify is a native workflow setup or Projects-based feature whose purpose is “share this app-object record with every future user.” That said, I believe this may be best fit for our Ideas Forum here.
I appreciate your understanding here, and hope this helps clarify in the meantime!

I ran into a similar limitation while working with custom app objects. It would be really helpful if HubSpot provided a way to automatically grant access to new users without relying on manual team assignments every time someone joins.
If anyone has found a practical workaround using workflows, custom code actions, or the CRM APIs, I’d love to hear how you’re handling it. Right now it feels like something that should be supported natively.
