Multiple Forms for Different Subscription Types

Hello! I have three newsletter my company sends out that are relatively unrelated to one another. I’ve set each one as a subscription type. But now I’m stuck on how people can sign up for them. When I create a newsletter sign up form, I don’t see anyway to attach it to a specific subscription type. When someone signs up, how does it know which one they’re subscribing to? Do subscription types have unique ids I can map to?

I’ve seen some solutions to have all three newsletters as an option with checkboxes, but since they aren’t related, I need to keep them separate.

In Mailchimp, each audience has a unique audience ID that connects to sign up forms. Any ideas?

Hi @LKelley302,

When you click into the consent notice box at the bottom of your form (1) you can specify a subscription type (2).

If you’re not seeting this option, you can add it by clicking outside of the form (1) and then using the GDPR options in the left sidebar (2).

Once contacts start submitting the form and checking the subscription checkbox, you can filter for these contacts in active contact-based lists (Menu > Contacts > Lists).

Best regards!

Thank you! That’s exactly what I needed. I really appreciate it @karstenkoehler

@karstenkoehler I’d love to follow-up and ask you if it’s possible to link a specific form to a specific subscription type without the consent checkboxes. Instead of using consent, I’d like to use legitimate interest, so just have a sentence saying “by clicking submit you agree to receive Product newsletters” for example, and then having that form only linked to the Product subscription type, rather than all subscription types.

I am amazed at how hard this is to do in HubSpot! After striking out with support chat several times, I finally found this post. I am still stunned that there isnt a built-in procedure for newsletter subscriptions, but at least I found this.
