Moving towards AI Agents

It is likely that in the not too distant future, a lot of human work will be instead be done 24/7 by AI Agents. At least, that’s my impression based on the custom AI Sales Agents I am building and Dharmesh (CTO and co-founder of HubSpot) seemed to see potential in AI Agents as he expressed during INBOUND 2023. What does the future of work look like to you? What would an ideal AI Agent do for you? --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

My personal belief as someone who has worked with AI-powered tools since the beginning is, that, AI will not take your job. People who can work with AI will. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

Hi Danny, Short-term, I agree 100%. But I saw that people who were interacting with one of my AI Sales Agents by email could not tell the difference between it and a real human and were responding asking questions, requesting a meeting, a partnership or otherwise. There are still some tech limitations (for example, AI video generation does not seem to be at a point where you could have the AI Agent take video calls) but everything is moving so fast so it seems likely that AI Agents may become indistinguishable from humans in more than just a few communication channels. This does make me wonder what the future of work looks like if the AI Agent is indistinguishable from a human and performs better for less. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

Did you potty train the AI? Because the one that comes with the package sounds robotic. Unless if you have trained it with your data, and conversational method. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

Hi Abdul, PowerDreamer has a provider that makes use of human sounding voices, could you please clarify what package you are referring to? --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

Oh, my bad. So you mentioned about the voices, my bad. I thought, it’s the pattern the way AI replies to customers query that sounds more realistic/humanised. When we train AI to reply to customers query, it sounds more robotic (that’s the package I meant). It was a misunderstanding, sorry about that. I was referring to chatbots. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

No problem Abdul, PowerDreamer supports email, phone calls (and soon SMS) and strives to make AI communications as human as possible: should you notice anything that can be improved, don’t hesitate to let me know :slightly_smiling_face: --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

I agree 100% that some job fields will get decimated by the use of AI. If you don’t think so, tell IBM because they lopped off 8,000 heads and specifically said they were being replaced with AI. They had less than zero (no pun intended) remorse about it. So the fairytale world of only being replaced by another human is…well…a fairy tale. Both will happen simultaneously. Those of us who know how to adapt, will do so, and in doing so we will take the jobs of others who refuse to adapt. There exist also the job types which are mundane human labor. The burgerflippers of the corporate world. Why burgerflippers? Because this makes a perfect comparison to Cali-burger which uses robots for burgers and fries instead of humans… So a corporate burger flipper is…an office assistant who processes emails or data entry all day. Someone who works in a call center. Front-end programming, front-end web development, marketing planning and strategy, reporting and analytics, copywriting, ad copy, product copy, web and ad design, and now even graphic design and digital art… All of these office job types and many more (including C-suite positions) can be substantially reduced in human presence by just a handful of people who know how to maximize the right tools. All of them, and then some. I absolutely believe the conversational aspects, especially having a subscription to ElevenLabs myself and playing around with it. It’s mind blowing and it’s not even the second year of this tech yet… By the end of next year, the great majority of, “its not going to replace…” will finally be at an end. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

Hi Nico, I agree that seems to be the most likely outcome. The pace of progress in this case is just incredible. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
