More granular batching create contact system.

Hi!

Since using batch contact create endpoint, if one of the contacts ends up on an error, no one is created, and the error message only reports the first wrong contact, is there a way to verify first if a contact is correct or not? If not, the only way I come up with to deal with this is using the one-by-one contact create endpoint and handle rating limit issues, and so on.

Basically, we would need a more granular system where correct contacts were created and failed contacts were reported with an error for each of them.

I might be missing it out, and there is already what we are looking for.

Thoughts? Ideas?

Thanks

Hey, @Alvarocaste :waving_hand: You are spot on with your understanding of the limitations and what a workaround might look like.

It might look like what you described:

  • perfom validation as much as possible before making your request(s)
  • use the batch endpoint
  • fallback to the individual endpoint if a specific payload fails
  • handle rate limiting and error handling, etc…

I know this isn’t the answer you are wanting. If you have a moment, adding your suggestion to the Ideas Community and getting some upvotes will be very helpful in getting your suggestion in front of the Product team.
