When you have two companies that you know are the same and need to merge them, the easiest method is typically to click the copy url icon from the company object.
HOWEVER, when clicking copy, HubSpot preends “https://” to the URL. This is fine for most purposes, however when you go to paste that url in the merge duplicate records pop up, it cannot find the company. You must remove the “https://” before it will find the url. I should note, this already works when searching for the company using “http://” just not when it is the secure link “https://”
When bulk fixing companies, this can become a major annoyance.
Steps to reproduce:
Copy the URL
Paste the URL into the select company field and don’t find it.
Remove the “https://” & find the company.
