It would be very helpful to have the ability to add properties onto the meeting object with the same level of customization as the other objects in the CRM. A lot of Sales team incentives are based on meetings. We have different meetings with different incentive categories.
Example use cases:
A junior sales team member has a meeting with a potential client, and the senior team member needs to approve the meeting. Restricting junior team member access to that property.
Marking that the incentive has been paid for the meeting.
Giving more insights to the meetings, ie: Meeting booked via “Call”,“Email”. High Value Meeting “Yes”, “No”.
Teams also change over time, so copying a static team at the time the meeting was scheduled ensures that your meeting counts don’t change when members move in and out of different teams.
Side note: Having customizable Owner, Calls and Email properties would also allow for a more versatile CRM.
Absolutely agree! We’re having the exact same problem, and believe HubSpot would be a better CRM for it.
Hi @GBouwer,
Other users have requested this before: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Custom-properties-for-Activities-Tasks-Meetings-etc/idi-p/204853
As of 2020, HubSpot was not planning to work on this.
However, the product team reviews these requests based on their popularity. I’d recommend upvoting and commenting and sharing the request within your network and with your HubSpot users.
You can also drive more traction to the request by accepting my reply as a solution, it’ll help community members find it more easily. I’d appreciate it, too!
Have a great day!
Considering the value that custom properies has provided for us on the companies and contact object, I think the meeting object would greatly benefit from this addition!
Same problem here, 2 years later.
Hey @CFetterly
We actually landed up creating a custom object which is created through a workflow triggered by a contact having a meeting. The workflow sends off a webhook and we create the custom object with any needed properties off of that.
A custom object is great because it gives a lot of flexibility.
If you need help achieving something similar to this let me know ![]()
I believe this is now available?
In custom properties, you can select Meeting and create new custom properties. Although I’m unsure if you can report on them yet.
Thanks for the reply, @Robert_D! Could you share screenshots of where you see this option in HubSpot?
@kennedyp You have to activate the beta product update first: Meetings index page and custom meeting properties
HubSpot finally built it (currently in beta): Meetings index page and custom meeting properties
