Mandatory fields

Hi there,
One of my fields is displayed as “mandatory” while the “mandatory” box is not checked from the interface allowing to manage the properties - any idea? Thank you!

Could you elaborate where in HubSpot you are seeing this, i.e. which tool/feature? Screenshots are always helpful for context.

Also, what field/property is being shown as mandatory?

Thank you for your answer ! When we create a new deal, this field appears as mandatory :

However, I don’t see this field mandatory here :

Ahh, I see.

That does seem a bit odd.

From the top of my head these are my troubleshooting steps:

  1. Try logging in and out of HubSpot - sometimes switching it on and off is the answer. :wink:
  2. Check if the property is required in the “update stage properties” in the pipeline settings. Unlikely but a possible cause.
  3. Remove and re-add the property on the “create deal” form, maybe some weird cashing happened.

If none of these work. I’d log a ticket with HubSpot Support to investigate.

Hi Frank,

I both tried steps 1 and 3 - no change. However, indeed I see the property required here :

But, I am not unable to make the change unfortunately and after double checking with my colleagues, no one never required this field since we really don’t need to fill this…
