Hi, is there a way to hide certain custom objects from the menu/navigation for users (except SuperAdmin) but keep those objects active?
I have a few objects that I use for admin and data integrity workflows and I don’t want to clutter views or confuse users.
Hi @DHicks9,
As of now, no, as far as I know this is not possible. It’s a very valid point however and you could request it from the product team here: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas
Best regards
You’re right @DHicks9 ,
HubSpot doesn’t currently allow you to hide a custom object from the CRM navigation bar. Even if a user has no access to records, the object name will still appear in the menu.
The only native control available is through object-level permissions (view/edit/delete) which you can configure in permission sets
(HubSpot user permissions guide )
(Create and edit custom objects )
For now, submitting feedback through the Ideas forum is the only official path.
If your main concern is avoiding clutter while keeping those objects alive for workflows, one workaround I’ve seen is syncing them into a hidden database layerr
That way, you can run your admin or integrity checks there, while end users only see the core CRM objects they need. Stacksync is often used for this purpose it mirrors HubSpot data in real time into a database, so operational flows keep running behind the scenes without confusing the sales team
Hope this clears things up.
