The current knowledge base article on Hubspot regarding this issue is outdated, as the Android interface is not the same as the current version of the application. There is nowhere to add a second account.
I have restarted the device, the application has been updated, and I have logged out and back in.
I have clicked on the More button, there is no “Settings” selection as detailed in the tutorial, so I clicked on the Account. That selection takes me to an account/user screen, where I clicked on the Account.
That selection takes me to a screen that says, “Choose an account to continue,” and has only one account option. Underneath that option, it says, “You can switch between accounts any time in settings.” There is nowhere to add a second account on that screen or in settings.
This is definitely possible within the mobile app and the steps needed are described in this guide (let me know if this is the doc you mentioned is outdated) The caveat here is that your user in both HubSpot accounts must be using the same email address.
I hope this helps, do try it out and let me know if it works in your mobile app.
So, if I had multiple accounts with one address, HubSpot should recognize that when I log into the app and display those accounts for me to choose from. Is this a correct understanding of how those accounts end up in the application?
If I have two different email addresses, I will not be able to view accounts from both in the application. Is this correct?
If #2 is correct, then it would be a great improvement in product#features if the application worked similar to Google’s Gmail, etc., which allows me to log in to one instance and manage all various accounts. That way I can receive notifications for all my accounts without having to log in/out of each account, as I might miss information when logged out.
Hi @Williams61 that is correct, the app will recognize the email and both will have 2 different account numbers, so you will select the account you want This means that number 2 is correct as well, you need to have both accounts with the same email address for this to work.
I will encourage you to add this idea here, this way it will have more chances to be implemented in the future.
