I have installed the Outlook 365 Add in and use Outlook for Mac. I also have the Sales Add in installed in my Outlook App on my Mac. Now I want all my mails that I write in Outlook for Mac to be automatically logged in Hubspot (i.e. set BCC to Hubspot) without having to press the button for the Sales Plugin every time. How can this be achieved?
Hi @ASimon ,
You can pin the banner up by clicking the small pin small pin icon in the upper right corner of the task pane in the O365 add-in. However, there isn’t a way to automatically select track and log for the add-in.
Best Regards!
Thank you! That solves it. ![]()
Glad to know that @AS ![]()
I just had an exchange with HubSpot support about this.
I determined that the best thing for our small business was to activate automatic logging at the organizational level, using Microsoft 365 (Exchange) Admin to create a bcc rule for all external email.
The HubSpot bcc logging email address is common across the organization. So we can have any email to an external domain automatically bcc the proper HubSpot logging email address (with the same exclusion settings configured in HubSpot / 365 Sales Add-In).
As long as users are on HubSpot and connect their personal email to meet the requirements, and we have this rule set up in our organizational email, every email will log, even if people forget to activate the add-in, or they don’t like how much screen real estate it occupies when “pinned” - or the pain when it is closed, and loses its “pin” setting on subsequent emails.
They still have the option to activate the add-in, of course, to get more HubSpot power / functionality in their email.
The other nice thing about this: if a user isn’t yet configured for HubSpot, that’s fine - their email simply won’t log, and they won’t get bombarded with failure auto-reply messages from HubSpot.
