Hi @Dtown21,
Linear attribution is explained here, along with other attribution models: How to Understand Attribution Report Definitions in HubSpot's Report Builder
Whether this can be adjusted depends on the exact report you’re looking at / creating. Can you share a bit more context beyond just the two column headers?
Best regards
@karstenkoehler Lets say my Deal amount is $38,000 and it shows linear 0.14, or $2,000 and it shows linear 0.25.
How is Hubspot pulling that data, how is it measured and can I adjust it because it does not make any sense to me.
@Dtown21 can you please share what report exactly you’re looking at? Without that context, I can’t help.
I am looking at a revenue & Deal linear attribution report
@Dtown21 can you please share more context? A screenshot of the report settings, a full screenshot of the report, blurring whatever is confidential? There isn’t enough detail to answer your question.
@Dtown21 thank you.
What HubSpot does here is look at all interaction types associated with a deal and then check for each type, how many interactions of this type there were for this deal compared to the overall number of interactions. That’s how HubSpot gets the fractional result and sometimes very small numbers (large number of interactions, small role of certain interaction types). Each interaction has the same weight, not prioritising early or late interactions.
@karstenkoehler Thank you for this. Is there anyway to edit the linear number? 0.24, 0.03?
Hi @Dtown21,
No, there is not. These numbers are a reflection of the touchpoints that have been measured. These measurements are immutable.
If you want a custom manual attribution, you would have to create custom deal number properties.
Best regards!
