Landing Page 101 question

Our website is hosted by Webflow, and our CRM is HubSpot.

We are about to create a landing page where users can download a free guide. Once the guide is downloaded, we invite the user to sign up for a free consultation.

My question is should we create the landing page using the Webflow or the HubSpot environment? Are there pros and cons to both?

I’m a bit of a novice, so pardon me if this question is too basic for the group.

Hi @aa40745 happy to help with your question and recommendation.

The short answer is you can do either.

1 - host on Webflow

This means you could use the same root domain as your website, but you’d want to use a HubSpot form to capture the data directly.

This allows you to use what you’ve already built in Webflow as a starting point. You can still connect an external LP to a campaign and use the tracking code for analytics.

2 - host on HubSpot

This means you’d need to connect a subdomain for your landing pages (you can’t connect your root domain to both CMS at the same time).

This allows you to leverage the built-in HubSpot landing page analytics, reporting, campaigns, etc.

As far as branding/design, you can leverage a marketplace theme as a starting point to create a high converting landing page without a big lift (all drag-and-drop on the front end, no dev needed unless you want to customize).

You really can’t go wrong - HubSpot is more integrated with Webflow than ever before, so if it makes sense to keep your web content centralized, do that. Follow the path of least resistance.

With that said, I’m a huge proponent of migrating from Webflow to HubSpot (website and LPs) - even with all of the integrations and updates, there are intrinsic benefits that are really hard to describe, but only worth it if you can leverage Content Hub Pro.

Hi @aa40745 :waving_hand:

@Jenn just laid out perfectly the answer to your question. Hypothethically, you can go both ways — either Webflow or HubSpot for the landing page. as you know **bleep** is in the detail, so some specifics of your design, brand or other requirement migh impact the choice.

I’m both HubSpot and Webflow designer/developer. If you have any questions about details related to your case, just DM here or on LinkedIn
