Hi, I’m Raffy! I’m the tech and HubSpot admin guy at Incognitus Philippines. Incognitus is an integrated marketing agency in the Philippines. We help companies working hard to work smarter. We do this by implementing HubSpot Content and Marketing Hub, managing live events, and producing engaging videos with you. We’re carving out a niche in higher education and the Philippine startup scene. When I’m not swimming in HubSpot, I love hanging out with my wife and son. You might also find me windsurfing, mountain biking, or experimenting in the kitchen. Borrowing from Dory, a mantra for me might be: “Just keep swimming.” The mission is to add net value to the world. I either succeed and move forward or side-step and learn from my mistakes. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
Welcome to the party Rafael Santos. Odd fact.. My office is a few hundred yards away from the aquarium that was the location inspiration for the Dory movie (Monterey bay aquarium). --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.

Welcome Raffy! Thank you for sharing a bit about yourself and the work you do at Incognitus Philippines! I’d love to know more about your work in the higher education and Philippine startup scenes. What trends are you noticing, and how is Incognitus addressing them? --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
The schools we’ve encountered use their websites to update their communities about their achievements and campus life. This is already better than a static calling card or brochure website on a CMS. However, they rarely connect website engagement to a CRM, missing an opportunity to leverage technology, capture valuable data, gather metrics. If they do capture lead data, it’s often from disconnected tools. This gap is even more evident during event registrations and live roadshows where they capture leads. There’s still a lot of ink and paper involved, and the data either stays there, takes forever to encode, or the data that gets encoded isn’t clean. We introduce them into our world by creating mini-sites for events using the platform. This allows us to demonstrate how easy and effective data gathering (and reporting) can be. We then show how school marketing and admissions operations can benefit from this approach. Our other focus is on startups in incubator and accelerator programs linked to the higher education institutions. We build awareness and encourage consideration among startup through group webinars and seminars, especially when these startups have minimal funding. Once they secure funding, we nurture them further with more decision-stage content. When discussing customer data tracking, I often ask whether they rely on their memory, notepads, mobile phonebooks, spreadsheets, or an actual CRM. Many use Google Sheets or MS Excel as their CRM. Many seem to get it when I describe a CRM as “your connected mobile phonebook on steroids”. We also encounter startups so passionate about their ideas that they believe marketing is unnecessary and that their product will sell itself. We partnered with a brand strategist and a market research expert to start off that conversation before we get into streamlining ops and engaging better. --- This post was migrated from connect.com and was originally published at an earlier date.
