Integrate a functionality for preconfiguring naming conditions (list, workflow, email, etc.)

Hi,

Companies have often established tutorials or naming rules for lists, workflows, emails, etc. It would be really nice to have the possibility to preconfigure directly in Hubspot the name of a list, an email or a workflow according to certain criteria.

So everyone use the features using the naming conditions. For example, a person from the marketing team wishes to create a list for sending a campaign, he will easily find the name to put for this list according to the naming conditions previously configured by the administrators of the account.

Yes, super important topic because it impacts the usability of your CRM data across the entirety of the organization. But trying to enforce these rules across every department and team that uses the CRM can be a huge headache. Often that just results in someone going back and cleaning up the mess more often than not.

I wanted to mention that Insycle can help with this, but full disclosure I work for them.

For example, if you wanted to standardize deal names, Insycle could pull data from the Company Name, Deal Amount, and Deal Creation date, then standardize the deal names. Using that example, you could standardize deal names to something like “Microsoft / 500000 / 8-4-2022” or something similar. Then, you can automate those rewrites to happen on a set schedule, or inject them directly into HubSpot workflows so that the fields are rewritten directly after they are created. The same can be done for any field that you would like to standardize in this way. Here is our help doc on this use case.
