How can I schedule Instagram stories?
Hi @BrooklynHeer57,
It is currently not possible to schedule Instagram stories but the product team is working on it: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/Reels-and-stories-scheduling/idi-p/709815
Best regards!
This is great news!! This tool will save me a lot of time and allow me to do ALL social media prep in Hubspot.
We do have the Marketing Enterprise subscription. When will I be able to view the “Story Option” after selecting the desired Instagram account(s)?
@BrooklynHeer57 have you enrolled in the beta (see my previous screenshot)?
I guess I wasn’t successful in enrolling the first time, but I am now enrolled. Thanks again!
- Use analytics insights — Track which Stories get the most replies, shares, or link taps. These metrics help tailor your content for better engagement.
- Mix Formats — Try combining videos, poll stickers, question boxes, and countdowns to keep stories interactive and dynamic.
- Post-to-post promotion — Share snippets of your feed posts in Stories with “Swipe up” (if available) or “Link in bio” calls to guide followers to your main content.
- Batch creation with templates — Create a storyboard for a week’s worth of Stories using templates in apps like Canva or Unfold. It ensures consistency and saves time.
- Use scheduling tools — Tools that support Stories upload scheduling (e.g., Later or HubSpot’s native tools like) can help you post at peak viewer times without manual effort.
If you can share the main question or challenge from the thread, I’d be happy to tailor the answer more precisely!
Hi @BrooklynHeer57,
There’s an update here and good news – this feature is now in private beta for Marketing Hub Professional and Enterprise customers ![]()
Social
Instagram Stories Support
August 13, 2024
What is it?
You can now publish and report on IG Stories all within the Hubspot Social tool. Instagram Stories are a temporary feed of photos or videos that vanish from your profile after 24 hours. This content is separate from your usual feed. Each post in a Story acts as a slide in a slideshow, with photos lasting seven seconds and videos up to fifteen seconds.
Why does it matter?
Instagram Stories give you prime placement in your followers’ feeds, allowing you to stand out and grab their attention. By consistently posting Stories, you can stay top of mind with your customers and bypass the constantly changing Instagram algorithm.
Stories also provide a perfect opportunity to showcase the human side of your brand. The informal and spontaneous nature of Stories allows you to connect with your audience on a more personal level, showcasing your brand’s voice and personality.
How does it work?
To create an Instagram Story post:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
- In the upper right, click Create social post.
- In the left panel, click the Select accounts dropdown menu. Then, select the checkboxes next to the Instagram accounts you want to post to.
- Select the Story option
- Under add media, you can select your photo or video
- Ensure your video meets the IG Story Requirements here
To review your Instagram Story post performance:
- In your HubSpot account, navigate to Marketing > Social.
- On this page you will see a list of your social media posts, navigate to your Stories Post and you will see Impressions and Reach Metrics.
- To review additional metrics, click “Details”, this will open the Social Details side panel where you can review your Story Exits, Taps Back, Tap Forward and Replies.
What are some API limitations for reporting on Stories?
- No stories data will be available for the first 25hrs after it is published
- The following stories metrics are available: Impression, Reach, Taps Forward, Taps Back, Exits, Replies
- You must have greater than 5 interactions on a story to see any insights.
Who gets it?
Marketing Pro, Marketing Enterprise
Here’s how you can find the beta:
If you can’t see it yet, you’ll have to be patient for a bit longer.
Best regards
I’m so excited we now have this ability! Any chance we’ll be able to add links, GIFS, or stickers, etc. to stories through HubSpot like we can on Instagram?
It doesn’t seem to be in the beta anymore, but wasn’t added as a feature either. The connector lists Facebook and Instagram, but that’s deceiving.
You can schedule Instagram stories using the Top Follow app . Simply download the app, connect your Instagram account, and use the scheduling feature to set the date and time for your stories. This helps you maintain a consistent presence without manual posting.
For more details, check out Top Follow Pro .
Scheduling Instagram Stories can be a game-changer! Tools like HubSpot, Later, or Buffer let you plan and prep your stories in advance, though Instagram still makes you manually post them when the time comes (they’ll send a notification). It’s not perfect, but it saves a ton of time.
