I set up HubSpot for our company but when i go on my conversations i get all of the emails from our CEO which i shouldnt be seeing. How can this be made private. Employees shouldnt be able to see other peoples inboxes.

Conversations inboxes are meant for shared access. Your CEO’s inbox should not be connected there: A guide to the conversations inbox

While inbox permissions can be set, Set up the conversations inbox, it’s still not recommended to connect a personal inbox. One of the reasons is that HubSpot assumes these emails should be shared among a team. Another is that the inbox will create records for each incoming email, meaning that CEO contacts will inevitably end up in the CRM.

If your CEO wants to send emails from HubSpot, the inbox should be disconnected and connected as a personal email: Connect your personal email

its not his personal email its his work email. But when i am in conversations i can see all emails that are coming through to him. We need to dissconnect this asap. I only wanted to connect it so that when he sends emails externally they are logged against the HS contacts but i should not be able to see all emails that are coming into his inbox. Please can you let me know how i resolve this

Hi @HenryAsh,

That’s exactly what I explained in my previous reply. You need to disconnect the address under Settings > Inbox > Inboxes. Another path is shown here: Disconnect or reconnect your inbox from HubSpot

Once disconnected, your CEO needs to follow these steps: Connect your personal email

Connected personal inboxes do not automatically log all incoming emails, only replies to tracked emails. This is explained here: Understand reply-only email logging rules

I have dissconnected all email accounts from hubspot but the emails are still there wihtin the conversations tab. When will these dissapear? i need them gone so that i cannot view them anymore.

@HenryAsh you will have to remove them manually, disconnecting the inbox will not achieve that, unfortunately. (Don’t shoot the messenger.)
