As already described here, It would be best to be able to give a user the permission to “Impersonate another User” for the Sequences-Tab. That would enable them to pre-fill everything and manage the Sequences as a Sales Rep. e.g. for someone from the C-Suite.
I realise that it is supposed to be a 1:1 tool, but being able to basically set up everything in the sequence, including enrolling all contacts and then the sender just having to review and then send it would make a major difference. Our current workflow is to get on a call with them and leading them through, this in some cases takes 30-60 Minutes as first they need to clone the sequence, enroll the contancts and then the sender obviously wants to review everything (For all I know make it so that the sender needs to actually press ‘send’ on the prepared email..).
I feel that this would not completely undermine the idea of the 1:1 while also giving us the ability for personal assistants etc. to actually utilise the tools at hand.
I’d recommend upvoting and commenting as the product team reviews these requests based on popularity. You can also help others find the request more easily by accepting my reply as a solution. I’d appreciate it, too.
Hi, as mentioned earlier by Karsten, the closest workaround currently is using workflows to enroll or unenroll contacts from sequences automatically. Just a heads-up though, that functionality requires a Sales/Service Hub Enterprise subscription.
Another option is to get a bit more technical and use custom-coded workflows with HubSpot’s automation API for sequences. This approach lets you enroll contacts programmatically via your custom code - but keep in mind it requires Ops Hub Pro or higher.
While neither is exactly the same as “impersonation” functionality, both methods can help streamline sequence management and reduce manual steps for your team.
Hopefully, HubSpot adds native impersonation features for sequences in the future, as it would be a big time-saver!
