If/Than form submissions

Hello, I set up my automation to send an email based on what form they fill out on my website using if/than branches for each form. My question is if they fill out the form assigned to branch 1 and then later fill out the form to branch 2 will they be directed down branch 1 again or will it move them to the branch for the most recent form fill?

If it is sending them down branch 1 again, what is a way to work around this so they get sent down branch 2 instead?

Hi @AYaniz,

Yes, this is possible, thanks for the brain teaser

Generally, HubSpot will read branches from left to right. Whichever one matches the criteria first, will be executed first.

If you want a workflow to enroll contacts multiple times and for contacts to experience different branches, the setup would have to look like this: Workflow for AYaniz - Album on Imgur

The enrollment criteria check whether a contact has filled out either form 1 or form 2. If one of the two is correct, a contact will be enrolled or re-enrolled (see the second screenshot, re-enrollment must be enabled by clicking into “Contact enrollment trigger” and selecting the tab “Re-enrollment”).

Next, a branch checks which path the contact should go along, depending on the form submission. Let’s ignore the “Has experienced path A before” property for now.

If the contact goes down path A, we’ll label the contact as “Has experienced path A before”. This is a custom property (single checkbox) which I’ve created and which would be needed for this solution. You can of course name it as you want.

When a contact now re-enters the workflow with a subsequent form submission and they arrive at the if/then branch, they will not be let down path A anymore – because the property is set to yes. However, path B is open to them, as it lets contacts in who have either filled out form 2 or experienced path A already.

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Hi @AYaniz ,
Can you please share the screenshot of the workflow? Will be little easy for us to understand the Q.
Thanks!
