Is there a way to automatically flag duplicate deals? Or a way to build a workflow based on a property being the same in multiple deals?

HubSpot doesn’t have any native features to identify duplicate deals. The best option is currently to pick a third-party solution, for example Insycle.

Hi @EMunselle, As was mentioned, there is no default way within HubSpot to deal with duplicate deals outside of manually identifying and merging them.

Also, thank you @karstenkoehler for recommending Insycle! I work for Insycle as a product marketer, so I just wanted to add a little more context about how Insycle can help with deduplication, and particularly for deals.

Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Identify and merge duplicate contacts, companies, and deals in advanced ways
  • Use any HubSpot field for identifying duplicates. For deals, you could use deal names, deal amounts, associated companies, close dates, open dates, etc.
  • Preview changes before they go live.
  • Complete control over how data is retained when merging. Choose how data is retained in the master record on the record level or field level.
    • On the record level, you can set rules for determining the master record, such as “first record created.”
    • On the field level, you can set rules on a field-by-field basis. For example, maybe you want email to be retained from the record with the most email opens, but you’d like “Owner” to be kept from the most recently modified record.

I’m trying to see duplicate deals (by a custom property I’ve created), but not merge them, but just to create a notification or trigger another action through a workflow. Do you think that’s possible with Insycle? - Thanks in advance!!
