Hubspot tracking code creating contact

Hi All,

I am installing Hubspot tracking code on my website, and I disable Non-HubSpot form data collections.

Still, This Hubspot code creates new contact based on email when the user visits the site page.

How can I prevent this?

Thanks & Regards

Hi @ASavaliya,

HubSpot will never create a contact that is merely visiting a page. Can you navigate to the contact record, click the View all properties button in the left sidebar and search for Original source?

Additionally, if you could scroll to the bottom of the activity stream and let me know what you see there, that would also help.

Feel free to share screenshots of what you see there and I can help you interpret the information.

Best regards!

You can see here Contact was created through direct traffic, it was created due I am set identity as email, which is not present in HubSpot contact.

Thanks & Regard

Hi @ASavaliya,

Is this collected form still showing up in the forms tool?

Best regards

Hi,

I am also facing the same issue. Did you manage to resolve it?

HI @karstenkoehler

I found a root cause of this, When the user visits a page then I am manually set visitor identity as email.

So it creates a new contact.

Have you any idea how can I stop creating a new contact from this issue?

Hey everyone! Struggling with the same issue. The record source says “tracking code interaction” and the first activity (which creates the contact) is a page visit. Something odd is going on here and I can’t explain why. @karstenkoehler
