There seems to be a huge error in the system. I have my gmail linked in with my HubSpot account and when I go to the sent items box under the gmail account that is linked, HubSpot sends me a notification that those emails have been opened by those recipients, when in fact it was just me going into my sent box in gmail.

You can block these self-open notifications by using the Chrome extension, see here: Block self-open email notifications with the HubSpot Sales Outlook desktop add-in or Chrome extension
