I have an employee that is having issues with the hubspot addin for Outlook windows full client.
He has tried to uninstall and reinstall several times.
When he opens a new email and clicks on the hubspot addin it asks him to connect inbox. Once he clicks on that the Microsoft 365 login prompts pop up and he signs in and gets the error below.
We use Duo for authentication of our corporate accounts.
He is able to sign into hubspot account becuase other parts of the app works. He is just unale to link his inbox with hubspot.
This addin used to work just at one point stopped working. What could be causing this issue?
I investigated this on my end and it looks like this is a known error with Outlook not being able to find the network. Please see the details here. It seems like it might have to do with Outlook’s security configuration, especially if it has been recently changed in the backend.
You’ll want to work with your IT Team on the following backend configuration in Outlook as described in here:
Make sure the security setting, Display mixed content, for the Internet zone is set to Prompt.
Make sure Warn if Changing between Secure and not secure mode is selected in the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box.
When hosting the app use always the IIS, create a directory, instead of using the IIS Express and run it using SSL.
If you continue seeing this error after trying out those steps, I would recommend connecting with Microsoft Support as they will have visibility into this error and be able to offer troubleshooting steps.
