These requests submitted to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community are reviewed by the HubSpot product team, based on their popularity and the assumed demand. I’d recommend commenting and upvoting – even if the product team is currently not planning on developing this.
You can also help other HubSpot users find this request more easily (and drive traction) by accepting my reply as a solution. I’d appreciate it, too.
As far as workarounds for your current situation go, it depends on whether you have send a direct link to the form or to a landing page with the form embedded.
Direct link: Your only option is to delete the form. (This is, among other things, one of the reasons why direct links to HubSpot forms should never be shared.)
Form embedded on landing page: Remove the form from the landing page and replace with a text module “Submissions are closed” or similar.
Hi @Jaylin!
If you don’t want to receive more form submissions in HubSpot, here’s what you can do: Important: HubSpot doesn’t have a “close form” feature
You can’t officially close a form in HubSpot — but you can stop submissions by using these options: Option 1: Show a “Submissions are closed” message
Go to Marketing > Forms in HubSpot.
Click on your form > Edit.
Go to the Options tab.
Change the thank you message to:
➤ “Submissions are closed. This form is no longer accepting responses.”
People can still submit the form, but they’ll see this message right after. Option 2: Unpublish or Remove the Form
If your form is on a landing page, just unpublish the page.
If the form is on a website or email, remove it from there.
This way, no one can access or submit it anymore.
Let me know where your form is placed, and I’ll help you take the right steps!
