Hi! I’d like to be able to highlight certain reports on a dashboard.
The scenario is we have a long dashboard filled with various pipe metrics, and there’s a for example bi-weekly meeting. Could you enable a temporary set ‘highlight’ of individual reports, so that the speaker easily remembers which are in focus for this meeting.
He/she could for example mark 5 out of the 30 relevant to this exact update and highlight them with a frame. Next meeting it’s perhaps 5 other reports.
I’m thinking it’s a frame like this.
A temporary highlight frame on reports
Comments are good too, but we use them for highlights about the data, and because of only writer can remove them, this would be better. The highlighting frames should be more On/Off.

Hi @MHenning1,
This is currently not possible but you could request it from the product team by submitting a post to the HubSpot Ideas section of the community: https://community.hubspot.com/t5/HubSpot-Ideas/idb-p/HubSpot_Ideas
Commenting on a report will show a small pin so that could definitely be a workaround. If it’s a matter of directing the attention, I’d say that this is more a feature of the video conference software you’re using.
Alternatively, you could also rename the reports before the meeting to include a subtle/neutral emoji at the beginning of a report name, e.g.
,
or
.
Hope this helps!
Hi, I thought this was what I was doing here.. submitting an idea / question.
Small pin - nopes, not a solution for this and as I said we are using that for comments on actual data, so not possible to distinguish the highlights from the comments.
You mentioned video conferencing software and that’s completely unrelated and does not solve anything. The meetings can be online or physical.
To rename a report seems like a very bad solution, that would also affect the other dashboards that the report is currently included in. Also permissions hinders many people to edit reports, and would like to be able to use that settings.
Thanks (but no thank you!)
Hi @MHenning1,
These are simply potential workarounds until a better solution is implemented. One of them might be better than nothing.
Keep in mind that almost all users here (including me) are not affiliated in any way with the HubSpot product team, thus do not have any influence on the product itself and are sharing potentially helpful tips in their free time.
Best regards!
Yes, and Thank you so much for sending the ideas link! I actually didn’t know this was a different space.
Best regards
