We are tracking leads, opportunities and customers in Hubspot and sending that back to Google Ads. Google Ads is showing that campaigns have generated leads and opportunities that do not show up in Hubspot Ads (checked all attribution reports).
I feel like it would make more sense if Hubspot showed more than Google but how can Google Ads show more than Hubspot on conversions that come from Hubspot?
Any insight would be appreciated on fixing the disparity.
Thanks. I’ve dug into it a bit more. See table below. I think what’s happening is that when a lead comes in, Google counts that as a lead, then when they turn into an opportunity (lifecycle event change), Google counts that as well but Hubspot will not, once a lead becomes an opportunity, it is just an opportunity and no longer a lead. Same goes from Opportunity to Customer.
Is there a way to fix this so Google will match how Hubspot counts these conversions?
Hello @NirS Thank you for providing more information.
When looking at your results from HubSpot and Google Analytics, it’s recommended to focus on the trends between the two systems — not comparing X visits from Google Analytics to Y visits in HubSpot. This knowledge base explains more about it.
Hi @NirS, @PamCotton
I am having the same problem. Google Ads is showing that we have 250 conversions but in Hubspot under Marketing>Ads, it shows only 155 contacts.
Which one is the true number?
Definitely not Google Ads because you don’t have contact details for those 95 contacts. I’ve noticed a lot of fraud coming from Performance Max in Latin America markets. Where are you running ads?
My issue is that I’m seeing in Google Ads that a campaign drove a Hubspot Customer, I can see it when I segment by Conversion Actions but then when I go into Hubspot, it doesn’t that the campaign drove a deal/customer. If Google Ads is pulling from Hubspot, how can this occur?
