I have a hosted email, but have it connected through gmail as gmail is my preferred email platform. I have connected gmail just fine to Hubspot and I can see my emails coming in through the conversation page, as well as in the Aativity feed in the contact record.
When drafting an email from within a contact record, my alias is available as an option to send as, which is great. However, I cannot send an email as my alias from the Conversations page.
As well, any emails I send from within the Conversation page do not appear in my sent folder in gmail.
Also, emails I sent from my alias in gmail do not show up in Hubspot, so it appears as if my contacts are writing emails to me and I am writing nothing back.
Are these all expected behaviours from Hubspot?
Hi @chubacca, I hope that you are well!
Thanks for asking the Community!
First, I’d like to share this article “Add an email alias” that states that an email alias cannot be used to send emails from a team email address connected to the conversations inbox.
Please note that to send from the alias in the CRM, you must add the alias to your Gmail account before connecting the inbox.
I also found this similar post “I don’t see in hubspot emails sent from gmail using my email alias” where @ASchoijett configured the HubSpot Sales extension for Gmail which helped.
This post “Emails sent from Hubspot do not show in my Gmail Sent box” from @sttang might be of interest to you as well.
I hope this helps!
Have a fantastic day!
Best,
