From contacts to closing

Hello good afternoon!

How do I put a contact/business in my pipeline as a successful customer or sale made?

Hi @MatheusRiccio,

You would be working with deals here if you want to document the sale: Create deals

If you simply want to label the contact or company as a customer, this can be done in the ‘Lifecycle stage’ property which exists both for contacts and companies: Use contact and company lifecycle stages

Let me know if you have any follow-up questions!

Hi @MatheusRiccio,

To mark a contact or business as a successful customer or a sale made in HubSpot, you need to move them to the appropriate stage in your sales pipeline. Here’s how you can do it:

  1. Navigate to Deals: In your HubSpot account, go to the Sales Dashboard and click on “Deals.”
  2. Find the Deal: Locate the specific deal you want to mark as closed. You can use the search bar or filter options to find it quickly.
  3. Move the Deal: Click on the deal to open it. On the deal record, you will see the current stage of the deal in your pipeline.
  4. Change the Stage: Click on the current stage dropdown and select the stage that indicates a successful sale, usually labeled as “Closed Won” or similar.
  5. Save Changes: Ensure that any necessary information is updated, and then save your changes.

By doing this, the contact or business will be marked as a successful customer or a sale made, reflecting accurately in your sales pipeline and reports.

For a more detailed guide, you can refer to the HubSpot Knowledge Base: How to Manage Your Deals.

Hi @MatheusRiccio ,

To mark a contact or company as a successful customer or completed sale, you can update their ‘Lifecycle Stage’ property:

  1. Manually Update Lifecycle Stage:
    • Go to the contact or company record.
    • Find the ‘Lifecycle Stage’ property.
    • Change it to ‘Customer’ or another appropriate stage that reflects their new status.
  2. Automate with a Workflow:
    • Create a workflow that triggers when a deal is marked as ‘Closed-Won’.
    • Set up the workflow to automatically update the lifecycle stage of associated contacts or companies to ‘Customer’.
