Forms

Hi!

We created a form for our website some weeks ago, and in that form we used some of the properties we have in our CRM. However, I had to change the names of some of the properties as I wanted to look different on the website, but now internally in our CRM they appear with the same categories than in the website. Is there a way of havinig within the same properties, one name to be used in the forms for the websites, and another one that appears in our CRM?

Thank you

Hi @EulaliaRibera,

The labels of properties and property values are the same across the CRM. You can change these names and labels in the property settings (Settings > Properties). You can consider this the default.

If, beyond that, you want to change a label of a property name or a value for a website form, you would do that right within the forms editor (Menu > Marketing > Lead Capture > Forms). If you rename a field label or the labels of field options here, this will only affect the current form:

Hope this helps!

Hi,
I am still having some issues, as when I do as you say and write the label as I want internally on the property settings page, and then go to the forms page the labels have changed as I have them in the settings page. And if in that same page (forms one) I try to change the labels just for the website form it changes the internal one as well.
Is this something normal? Or maybe I am doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Hi @EulaliaRibera,

That’s correct and expected behavior. The property settings are the system default, after all.

Here I’m not quite following could you please share a screenshot where exactly you’re making this change? Changes in the forms editor should not affect the property settings.

For example, after changing this value to “Blocker test”…

… the property settings still have the original label:

Hi @karstenkoehler,

I have looked at it again and it seems to be working now as you said.

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards,
