1. Error messages. When a required field isn’t filled out, the error message pops up and says, “Please complete this required field.” However, this text isn’t accessible. The error text needs to be specific to the form field that isn’t filled out. For example, “Please complete the First Name field.”
Allow customization of error messages for forms on both Hubspot LPs and external sites (e.g., WordPress).
2. Add focus when a required field isn’t filled out. When the required field isn’t complete, the focus always needs to be automatically set to the first field that isn’t filled out. This isn’t happening with Hubspot forms, neither on Hubspot Landing Pages nor on external sites. This needs to be fixed, it’s a basic accessibility and UX issue that will make all users’ lives easier.
3. Allow color customization for field placeholders either under their general form styles or Style & Preview when Editing a form. The current default placeholder color isn’t accessible. It needs to be fixed.
