Form Property

Hello,

I am having issue on a form. I have a deal property that is a multiple checkbox dropdown and it is exactly what I want. Unfortunately it seems on the actual form it doesn’t include multiple checkboxes in a dropdown when I used a contact property. Is there anyway around this?

Hi @DHeinlein ,

Just to be clear, you just want to style what’s on the actual form differently, is that correct?

Best regards,

Eli

No I want the form to have a property that is multiple checkbox and a dropdown.

@DHeinlein on the public facing form, the multi-checkbox property will be all the choices shown on the form. A dropdown menu of choices is actually the dropdown select property type, and is not multiple choice. Users on the form can only choose one of the dropdown options.

It looks like the screenshot you shared is from the object record (contact, I think) in the backend, which does show up like a dropdown option where you can choose multiple options.

The two things are separate, and do not operate the same in HubSpot.

I have about 170 different properties that could be selected and it is random how many of them would be selected on every deal. If I can’t do a multiselect dropdown box is there another alternative than having 170 different checkboxes on a form?

@DHeinlein so this is in your Deal objects? I have a couple questions.

Is it meant to be on a public-facing form, or managed internally?

What’s the purpose of the property?

Could what you’re solving be done so with a different strategy?

Any property that has 170 options would concern me, especially when it’s multoiple choice. That gives a nearly-infinite combination of choice combinations and I’m not sure I can see a use case of why that would be helpful.

The short answer to your original question as I understood it, is that what you’re asking is not possible in how HubSpot is built.

@danmoyle Yes with the way our company is currently structured it is probably the wrong strategy. I will probably just do single line text and manually add them under a deal object. Thank you for your help.
