I have created a form to integrate it into my landingpage. This form includes a couple of checkboxes which now show a very strange behaviour. When I click them, they don’t change visually, but they take the input - so no checkmark appears visually, but when I send the form, the data is collected for all checkboxes I clicked.
Is there any way to formate the checkboxes checkmarks? It seems (when I look into the dev concole at the browser), that the checkmarks are simply white on white background…
Hey @THinsberger this is usually down to external styling (css) on your site. I’d be pretty confident it’s this on the form so it would be something you’d need to update on your website. Do you have a link to the page you’re seeing this on? I’d be happy to see if I can find the exact styling if you like.
thanks for your answer. I’m not sure if there is really any external styling, as I’m just using hubspot - the form is embedded into a hubspot landingpage. Is there any option to edit the Checkbox-CSS in hubspot itself?
The landingpage is not yet released, I will do this tomorrow and will then happily provide the link.
Hey @THinsberger HubSpot will still be using it’s own CSS.
There’s a great guide here on finding the source of your page’s styling.
What HubSpot theme are you using? It might be worth reaching out to the creator of this theme, it’s common enough for a theme creator to hide the checkboxes to try implement custom ones.
Okay, I found the solution I wasn’t aware that the style of the checkboxes is defined on page-styles, not in the area-styles… so it was just my fault. But thanks a lot to @TomM2 for stepping in and offering help!
