Seeking reporting help; I’m using an activity report from the report library which tracks productivity and the outputs are 1. email sent to contact 2. meeting 3. call.
However, the “email sent to contact” output is aggregating all emails sent to all contacts; I only want to see initial outreach.
Essentially, I’m working to answer the question:
“How many contacts have been sent a first email this week?”
Hey @ikopecky, thanks for reaching out! This is a great question.
As far as I know, there isn’t a way to filter the emails within that report to show you the contacts who were contacted for the first time. And while there’s a “Last contacted date” contact property, there isn’t a “First contacted date” for some reason.
However, there is an awesome workaround in this HubSpot Ideas thread that will allow you to create your own “First contacted date” property that you could then pull into a report. It won’t be retroactive, so it will apply only to first outreaches moving forward.
Once you have that custom property created, you can create a report where “First contacted date” = “This week.” You can create a table that will pull in the specific contacts with the properties you define, a chart that shows the count of contacts, or both!
