I’m writing to bring attention to an issue with the HubSpot Files API v3. Specifically, the duplicateValidationStrategy: REJECT flag is not working as expected, and as a result, it is causing file duplication on HubSpot.
According to the HubSpot Files API v3 documentation, the duplicateValidationStrategy : REJECT flag is intended to prevent the creation of a new file if a file with the same name already exists. However, despite setting this flag, duplicate files are being created.
This issue is particularly problematic for HubSpot users who rely on the Files API v3 to manage and organize their files. Duplicate files can cause confusion, inefficiencies, and ultimately affect the user experience.
I kindly request that the HubSpot development team investigates this issue as soon as possible and provides a fix to ensure that the duplicateValidationStrategy : REJECT flag works as intended.

Thanks for sharing. Can you share an example request that includes values that should be rejected? Along with being able to reproduce the issue, it’s helpful on my end to include an example from the community member as well.
