Is it possible to export a Contact’s fully Activity list? Using the Report Builder with Activities as the data source, we cannot see key activies like “{{Contact}} opened {{email name}}”, “{{Contact}} clicked {{CTA name}}”.
I can see all that data clearly on the Contact’s record under the Activity feed (see screenshot below). It would be really helpful to be able to report on this, though (e.g., export all the contacts from a recent sequence and see who clicked on what to understand which CTAs are most effective).
I’m not sure what you already tried in the Custom Report Builder, but you should be able to get (at least some) of the data you mentioned. In the Custom Report Builder you can pick CTAs, Marketing E-Mails, Marketing E-Mail Activities etc. as the Data Source.
If you have exhausted that option, you could look into Lists and filter specific activities, although it might be a lot of work to combine this data into something usable.
Another option would be to look into the API to export activity data - this would require some technical knowledge though.
This is super helpful Colin! Unfortunately the senders for these sequences are within Sales (outside the Marketing function), and it seems like the data for CTAs, Marketing Emails, etc. are only picking up “true” Marketing activity. That said, I’ll continue to play around with these options, and your response is definitely helpful to pointing us in the right direction, so I will accept it as the answer!
I’ve faced the same issue as well, but unfortunately, I still haven’t found a proper solution.
I genuinely believe that HubSpot should improve its email marketing reporting features, especially to help users track performance and take more data-driven actions.
