The Opportunity: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Web Developer to design, develop, and implement a critical SRD Status Check tool for our suite of websites. This tool will be an essential resource for our users, enabling them to easily verify the status of their SASSA Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grants.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop a robust and intuitive web-based SRD Status Check tool.
- Integrate seamlessly with relevant APIs to fetch and display real-time grant status information.
- Ensure the tool is secure, scalable, and provides an excellent user experience across all devices.
- Collaborate with our team to understand user needs and technical requirements.
- Perform thorough testing and debugging to ensure optimal functionality and accuracy.
- Maintain and update the tool as needed, adapting to any changes in API specifications or user feedback.
What We’re Looking For:
- 4+ years of professional experience in web development.
- Proven expertise in API integration, with a strong understanding of RESTful services and data handling.
- Proficiency in modern web development languages and frameworks (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React/Vue/Angular, Python/PHP/Node.js).
- Experience with database management and data security best practices.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating successful development projects, particularly those involving data retrieval and user-facing tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Experience with SASSA grant processes or similar governmental service integrations is a plus, but not required.
