I am new to Hubspot and I currently have a free account. I’ve just imported my database to create a list for the Newsletter. I would like to clean and to start an opt-in campaign in order to be sure we are RGPD compliant. To do so, I’ve written an email with a button with the following settings :
- link to: email subscription link
- Subscription type : Subscription confirmation
However, I have sent this email to my both corporate and gmail address to test the email but when I click on the button I have an error :
Code d’erreur : PR_CONNECT_RESET_ERROR
Both email adresses have been manually add to the subscription for the Newsletter
I tried to open the link on firefox and on chrome (I’ve erases cookies… )
Could you please advise me on what to do ? Is there a setting I should do first ?
Thanks a lot,
This would point me to this issue being on your connections side, I’d check if there’s any firewalls or geoblocking on your connection or machine to find out what may be causing the connection to fail.
I can confirm with a free account this subscription confirmation link is not working. I even went as far as creating a custom confirmation page. The manage preferences and unsubscribe appear to be working though. Unfortunately as these forums are user-to-user support and full support is not available with free plans there are not many options.
However, with that said, I would highly recommend against using the free version of Hubspot for production emails. The threshold for spam is extremely, and in my opinion unreasonably low which results in many permanent bans of hubspot accounts that cannot be reversed. If you do a search on these forums for permanent account bans, you will see most are related to free accounts and email. Unless you are moving to the starter version or higher before sending, I would recommend looking into a third party solution for emailing until you move to a paid hubspot plan.
Hi @Ben_M thanks for your answer ! I am going to check on those topics and decide whereas I should continue with a paid hubspot plan or change my emailing solution
