Hi,
I have the following url:
https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/notes?hapikey=XXXXXX
Request body:
{
“hs_note_body”: “Customer Country is required”,
“hs_timestamp”: “2019-10-30T03:30:17.883Z”
}
I ge the following error:
{
"status": "error",
"message": "Error creating NOTE. Some required properties were not set.",
"correlationId": "e25cd92e-a63b-4ce2-96ba-cfa6d34c1121",
"context": {
"properties": \[
"hs\_timestamp"
]
},
"category": "VALIDATION\_ERROR"
}
This is stratight from the API docs page. Any ideas ?
Hey, @Stanza I ran a couple of quick tests using the example provided for the
POST/crm/v3/objects/notes
endpoint and received a 201 response for both attempts. For one test, I changed the date to reflect 2022 and for the other test I left the date and timestamp as provided in the example.
My test:
Request
curl --request POST \
--url 'https://api.hubapi.com/crm/v3/objects/notes?hapikey=NOPE' \
--header 'content-type: application/json' \
--data '{
"properties": {
"hs_timestamp": "2019-10-30T03:30:17.883Z",
"hs_note_body": "Spoke with decision maker NOPE",
"hubspot_owner_id": "50190939"
}
}'
Response
HTTP 201
{
"id": "22979924825",
"properties": {
"hs_all_owner_ids": "50190939",
"hs_body_preview": "Spoke with decision maker NOPE",
"hs_body_preview_html": "<html>\n <head></head>\n <body>\n Spoke with decision maker NOPE\n </body>\n</html>",
"hs_body_preview_is_truncated": "false",
"hs_createdate": "2022-06-24T17:32:07.128Z",
"hs_lastmodifieddate": "2022-06-24T17:32:07.128Z",
"hs_note_body": "Spoke with decision maker NOPE",
"hs_object_id": "22979924825",
"hs_timestamp": "2019-10-30T03:30:17.883Z",
"hs_user_ids_of_all_owners": "11666061",
"hubspot_owner_assigneddate": "2022-06-24T17:32:07.128Z",
"hubspot_owner_id": "50190939"
},
"createdAt": "2022-06-24T17:32:07.128Z",
"updatedAt": "2022-06-24T17:32:07.128Z",
"archived": false
}
The documentation indicates you can use either UTC or a UNIX timestamp format, you can try using a different timestamp or format to see if the issue resolves on your end. But I can confirm that using the provided example from the documentation for the CRM API — Engagements — Notes endpoint will return the expected response and result.
Best,
Jaycee

Hi @jaycee . Thanks for the reply. This is sorted. My JSON request syntax was wrong.
I left out the “properties” field in the JSON
So it should be:
properties": {
"hs_timestamp": "2019-10-30T03:30:17.883Z",
"hs_note_body": "Spoke with decision maker NOPE",
"hubspot_owner_id": "50190939"
}
Thanks for letting us know @Stanza
