I edited the subject of an email newsletter and though it is reflecting properly in Hubspot, the subject line is showing up as the non-editted version when received in an email. Also, it’s saying ‘color logo no background’ next to it which looks so unprofessional.
I can’t get any support from the Hub Spot team. Yes, I have the free version as I’m testing out the platform. Can anyone help me?!
If you are testing out the platform you could try reaching out to sales for help since you are considering the paid version and they may be able to look into this as well for you. But if your subject line is not updating, have you saved the new version of the email or is it just updated in the editor? In order for changes to take effect they need to be published changes, not draft.
To your “color logo no background” comment, what email client are you testing in? Is this Outlook that is preventing the image load prior to clicking download images? If so, that is simply your alt text for the image which shows if an image were not to load, in this case blocked by settings of Outlook. You should always make sure your alt text for images is set regardless of whether you are doing an email or landing page for this reason as you can never be sure for what reason an image might not load.
Thank you so much for your reply!
I have reached out to sales, however, as they say often, they are sales and
do not have the technical knowledge. They were unable to assist.
I sent the test email to my personal gmail account through the Hubspot
platform. The draft was saved and sent. All other changes in the body of
the email newsletter took effect but that one change (the subject).
The logo image wasn’t blocked, rather it was reading as ‘color logo no
background’ in the email subject line. I’ve since edited it to read my name
but is still pulling a logo/image label into my email subject.
