Hi All,
I’m thinking the answer to this is either going to be get a more robust premium account or live with it. I’m hoping you can answer that definitively.
I’m trying to create an email with the drag and drop marketing editor. If I choose a background picture, it’s not letting me move the text to cover the picture, I can’t make the email body any wider than the one center column, so it just doesn’t look right with the background. However, I don’t recall having that problem before, so maybe something has changed, I’m doing something I didn’t do before, or I’m not doing something I did do before. If anyone has any thoughts, I’m open. TIA
Hi there,
Do you mean add a text overlay over an image? Would you be able to provide any screenshots of the issue you’re seeing? It doesn’t sound like it would be something locked by a higher HubSpot tier - you should still be able to adjust your width and size your background image appropriately.
Hi @BJeffcoat ,
You’re right that the drag-and-drop email editor in HubSpot has some layout constraints, particularly with background images and text positioning. Here are a few things you can try:
1. Background Images & Text Placement: The background image is applied to the section, but text placement is usually controlled by padding and alignment. Unfortunately, the text itself can’t be moved freely over the image. A workaround is to use an image editing tool (like Canva or any other graphic design app) to overlay text onto the image before uploading it.
2. Advanced Customization: If you need more flexibility, a custom-coded email template may be the best option.
Let me know if you need help testing different approaches!
