Domain Error

Hi

I have just recently deleted my old free hubspot account and unfortunately I forgot to disconnect the domain on that account.

I have set up a new free hubspot account and I’m trying to connect my domain to my new HubSpot account, but it’s blocked with the error “added by another customer.”

Contacted live chat but they were not able to help, as i am on a free account there is nowhere else to go

Could a community manager please help me escalate this to get the orphaned domain released from HubSpot’s back end database

Thank you

Not sure what domain/ DNS provider you are using, but if you disconnect all the HubSpot settings on that side it should resolve the issue. Most of them are pretty easily identifiable- CNAME that ends in sites.hubspot.net. or dkim.hubspotemail.net. That will be your best bet here. You could probably just ask your domain provider to rest it to default settings for now if that’s proving challenging…

hi Rebecca Thank you for your reply i have deleted CNAME but issue still there What i have read is that its hubspot end

I am trying to connect my website domain to my current HubSpot Free portal, but I am receiving the error: “This domain was added by another HubSpot customer.”

The domain belongs to me, but it is stuck on an old, inactive HubSpot account that I no longer have access to. Because I am on a free account, I cannot open a standard support ticket. > Could a HubSpot Community Manager please look up the old association on the backend and disconnect the domain so I can use it on my new portal? I can provide proof of domain ownership (via Namecheap) as soon as we open a secure private DM.

Thank you!
