We would like to display integer values for a custom property of type “number” without a thousands separator. In the CRM, the property is (default) configured as “unformatted” number, nevertheless a thousands separator shows up.
We then tried to change the fieldType from “number” to “text” via API, nevertheless still a thousands separator showed up.
Only after changing the type from “number” to “string”, the value remains unformatted.
Is this the only way to prevent Hubspot from adding a thousands separator?

Yes, you’re correct in your understanding of how HubSpot formats numbers in the UI. I’d suggest searching and posting in the Ideas forum to get the attention of the product team. This might actually be a bug, as I’m unable to see any difference between a “formatted” number property and “unformatted”.
Bumping this up as we’re trying to unformat a number value but the system seems to hard require thousands seperators regardless of purpose for the number.
ex we numbers assocated to companies that are 4 digit reference numbers. The thousands seperator doesn’t make sense in our context. It’s not a mathmatical value, it’s just a reference number.
