Default pipeline

Can we create a pipeline called “Triage Team” and have it default to that?

Hi @PBarik,

Yes, if you’re on a paid Sales Hub plan, you can follow these steps: Set up and manage object pipelines

To make one pipeline the default one, simply reorder them under Settings > Objects > Deals > tab Pipelines > button Actions > Reorder pipelines.

Best regards!

Karsten,

If I do this, does it only change the default pipeline for my user, or for the entire org?

This doesn’t actually fix it on the Deal Create section. I think the users want it so that when you first make a new Deal, the rep does not have to change the pipeline drop down. It would be awesome if HubSpot allowed us to fix that.

Hi @karstenkoehler , I’m having a similar issue. I have my desired pipleline at the top of the list in the reorder, but when I go to deals it defaults to another, lower priority pipeline that was created later.

Assuming you’re referring to a software development or project management tool, here’s a general approach:

  1. Access the Administration or Settings:

    • Log in to the system or tool where you want to create the pipeline.
    • Navigate to the administration, settings, or configuration section.
  2. Locate Pipelines or Workflow Settings:

    • Look for a section related to pipelines, workflows, or project processes.
  3. Create a New Pipeline:

    • Find an option to create a new pipeline.
    • Name the new pipeline as “Triage Team.”
  4. Configure Pipeline Stages:

    • Define the stages within the “Triage Team” pipeline. Common stages might include “New,” “Assigned,” “In Progress,” “Review,” and “Completed,” depending on your workflow.
  5. Set Default Pipeline:

    • Locate an option to set the default pipeline.
    • Choose “Triage Team” as the default pipeline.
  6. Save Changes:

    • Save your changes to apply the new pipeline and set it as the default.

This does not set a pipeline as Default it just reorders the order that they go in on the dropdown. I am still looking for a solution to set a pipeline as *default* ideally by user but even just across the board would work. Thank you @karstenkoehler can you please advise?

Best,

LW

You are right, it does not seem to work. You could try and see if it’s a caching error and it works later but atm, I’m not getting it to work either.
