I’m writing to criticize the recent change to the Gmail sales extension. Now you cannot navigate to the hubspot record for the deal or contact from within your Gmail inbox. Instead, you can only change associations. This was a feature that we relied on to be very efficient between our inbox and Hubspot. The new functionality is not useful as the associations were always correct, and never needed to be changed. I believe strongly that for the feature to be useful again, Hubspot should make the associations navigable out of Gmail.
Not sure how to delete my previous post. So, there is a way to navigate to Hubspot from Gmail, you need to click the button that says “view [contact’s] profile” and then navigate to Hubspot from there. It adds a click to the process, so it’s not ideal, but at least the functionality isn’t completely removed as my original post mistakenly says.
