Create deal stages automatically based on sequence step

Hello HubSpot Community,

I’m currently using HubSpot for my prospecting efforts and have set up a sequence with the following steps:

  1. Automated Email - Day 1
  2. LinkedIn Connect Task - Day 1
  3. Automated Email - Day 4
  4. Call Task - Day 5
  5. LinkedIn InMail Task - Day 6
  6. Automated Email - Day 13
  7. Call Task - Day 14
  8. Automated Email - Day 15

I have also created a deal board to match the sequence steps.

Now, I’m looking for a way to create a contact-based workflow that can automatically create a deal when a contact is enrolled in this specific sequence.

Additionally, I want the workflow to move the deal through the corresponding deal stages as the contact progresses through the sequence steps.

I attempted to create a contact-based workflow with the trigger options “Contact enrolled in (xxxx) sequence” OR "Sequence starting step number is equal to 1," the action is creating a deal with the contact name.

However, I need to change the “OR” condition to “AND” to ensure this automation only applies to a particular sequence, not all sequences.

You are correct about your contact-based workflow with Contact enrolled in a sequence. You can also use

Sequence - The sequence the contact was enrolled in to add the sequence the contact was in instead of being selected all the sequences.
