Create and Modify Knowledge Base KB Articles via API

Hi there,

Is it possible to create and modify knowledge base articles via api? We have a use case where we would like to document certain products directly in the KB from our manufacturing ERP.

Thanks

Hi @basil,

We do not currently provide any endpoints that provide the ability to create and modify knowledge base articles via the API.

The only endpoint available for querying knowledge base articles is in relation to the The Content Search API - This allows you to pull Knowledge Base article search results. So you can query kb articles but cannot interact with them.

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Basil, are you able to investigate if the knowledge base API is coming ?

Hi @basil,
Are you able to give us information about when Hubspot will be able to provide with endpoints providing the ability to create and modify articles in the knowledge base via the API ?

Thanking you in advance for your answer,

Vanessa

any updates on this? Would really like to have this ability to update knowledgebase articles much faster than through the web interface.

Hey @bensjamin,

Thanks for adding to the thread here. As of now, it looks like this feature request is still marked as “not currently planned":

That said, the @Willson’s response above would still be relevant. I encourage you to upvote and add your specific use case there!

I hope this helps confirm. I appreciate your patience and understanding in the meantime!

This would be really helpful and would allows updating/creating articles using Claude code! We are in 2026 we don’t want to do this manually trough the interface anymore. The irony is that the scopes

**cms.knowledge_base.settings.read and cms.knowledge_base.articles.write**are available within the legacy app but can’t be used.

Hey @HubspotUser4,

Thanks for providing this feedback!

This would be really well-suited for our Community Ideas Forum. It would allow other users to upvote your idea, expand on it, and present the need directly to our Product team.

If you do post it there, feel free to link your idea in this thread. We’re happy to start upvoting it for you!
