Contacts created by campaign

Hey everyone,
Is it possible to report on contacts that were created from specific campaigns, not using tracking URLs but if they come from a landing page associated to a specific campaign?

Hi @squigglebit,

If you’re interested in specific landing pages / form submissions as first touchpoint, then the field First conversion is great:

“the first form the contact submitted. This is formatted as the name of the page the form was submitted on, followed by a colon, then the name of the submitted form (i.e., Page title: Name of form).”

You can use this to create lists or reports. If your campaign has multiple landing pages that a contact might convert on, you can add multiple keywords to the property filter.

If you’re unsure what to filter for, find the form that’s used on the page, pick a contact and look up the values this contact has had for the property Recent conversion: View a record's property history

It should show up there.

Best regards!

I agree with @karstenkoehler that leveraging the ‘Recent conversion’ contact property will be helpful here.

You can also create a custom record with the data sources:

  • Contacts
  • Landing pages

X-axis = Landing page name

Y-axis = Count of contacts

Filter the report by ‘First converting campaign’ = [Name of campaign you want to report on]

This should then show you the count of contacts that interacted with landing pages that were created from a specific campaign.

I hope this helps!

Is there a reason I wouldn’t want to use first conversion point? surely I can use this in the same way as recent and therefore group all the campaign assets together e.g. get in touch form, ebook download, mailing list form submission? I can group all these into 1 list as first conversion with the multiple options

Hi @squigglebit,

Correct, First conversion would be the best option here. I accidentally referrec to Recent conversion in my first reply but meant First conversion.

Best regards!
