I want to create an workflow where one text property of the contact is compared to another property of the same contact, and if they are not equal, a certain sequence of actions is performed. (like if/then branch).
Is it possible to somehow solve such a problem?

There is no standard way to do this. In fact, there is a published idea that you can vote on.
HubSpot takes the most voted ideas to introduce new features.
That said,
what you can do is create an automation with Operations Hub or Zapier to compare both properties, modify a true/false property that you then use as a trigger for another workflow.
Vote the idea here (Filter by property equal to another property).

This is now possible in segments / workflows, see below 
I didn’t see an official product update on this yet so it might take another few days before this reflects in your portal.
For property types where this is not supported, the best way is still a calculation property, using an if-statement to check whether two properties have the same value.

It doesn’t seem to be available in my instance as of 2/20/26. Do you know when it will become available? Or do you know if it’s available in a Beta or early release in the Product Updates? I can’t seem to find it there, but I’m not sure what it’s called. Thanks!
Ah, it looks like this is only for text-based properties. I want to run an automation if one date property matches another. It doesn’t look like that works right now.
